This policy explains the limited information that may be processed when you visit brad.expert, contact Brad Nietfeldt, or use the Error Run game.

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, the information in your submission, including your name, email address, organization, selected topic, and message, may be retained to respond and maintain an appropriate record of the conversation.

Form security and delivery

The contact form is processed by a server-side endpoint on brad.expert. Submissions are validated and screened with anti-spam controls, then delivered by Twilio SendGrid to Brad's designated email address. SendGrid processes the submission as an email-delivery provider under its applicable privacy terms.

Error Run and its leaderboard

If you submit an Error Run score, the site collects your initials, email address, score, level, consent choices, verification status, and limited security data. Only your initials, score, level, and achievement date appear publicly. Your email address is never displayed on the leaderboard.

A six-digit code is sent by SendGrid to verify each score. Codes are stored as one-way hashes, expire after 15 minutes, and cannot be reused. Game sessions, rate-limit records, and hashed network identifiers help detect fabricated scores and abuse.

Optional email choices

Score-beaten alerts and Brad's field notes are separate, optional choices. Neither is required to publish a verified score. You can change either preference through the Error Run account page using a passwordless email code.

Technical information

The hosting and security infrastructure may process standard request information such as IP address, device and browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals. This information supports delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and aggregate performance analysis.

Cookies and analytics

This version of the site does not use advertising cookies or sell personal information. A secure, first-party session cookie is used only when you sign in to manage Error Run preferences. If privacy-sensitive analytics or new interactive services are introduced, this policy will be updated and appropriate notice or controls will be provided.

Sharing and retention

Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate and secure the site, when required by law, or when necessary to protect legitimate rights and safety. Verification codes and game runs expire quickly. Account and leaderboard records are retained while the leaderboard operates or until a valid deletion request is completed.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information submitted directly through this site, subject to legal and operational requirements.
